La Nouvelle-Orléans.
Après la mystérieuse et brutale disparition d’un de leurs amis, un groupe d’adolescents se trouvent en possession de Stay Alive, un jeu vidéo d’horreur non commercialisé, violent et obsédant, inspiré de la véritable et glaciale histoire d’une femme de la noblesse du 17e siècle, la Comtesse Bathory, qui sacrifia à sa beauté plus de 600 vierges de Transylvanie.
Les gamers ne savent rien de ce jeu, mais ils meurent d’envie d’être les premiers à le découvrir…
La frontière entre le monde virtuel et le monde réel disparaît alors. Et chacun leur tour, ils vont devenir la proie de l’impitoyable Comtesse Sanglante…

Honnêtement, j'ai regretté mon achat avant même la fin du film. Comme déjà dit, c'est du sous exploité malgré un potentiel assez fort. Bon, un bon plus pour les scènes où les personnages du jeu font des apparitions éclairs dans le dos des personnages, qui sont efficaces.
Mais sinon, je ne dirai qu'une chose : dommage.
Et oui xxdark Bathory a réellement existé.

Un film voulant exploiter la voie des dérives des objets et des lubies modernes mais qui se plante lamentablement...
