Godzilla

Godzilla, le célèbre dinosaure radioactif, est né en 1954 avec le film du même nom le mettant en scène. Suite aux explosions nucléaires des bombes qui détruisirent Hiroshima et Nagasaki, certains organismes connurent des mutations, Godzilla bien sûr, mais aussi d'autres monstres qui feront leur apparition dans les films suivants. Godzilla symbolise la folie des hommes et leur inconscience à manipuler des armes meurtrières comme la bombe atomique. Le message que veut faire passer Ishirô Honda, le réalisateur, est humaniste, et on peut voir une certaine morale dans ce film, au delà de l'aspect monstre en plastique.
